Jug lines in WMA

Is this legal? Have heard differing opinions.

Legal. I had to ask a GW to make sure. Rules were vague in the book.

Legal, the only restrictions I could find on them were specific to certain lakes. Give it a read to make sure yourself, though.

Only thing I can find on this particular management area states: “ Fish may be taken only by rod and reel, or by hand lines for recreational purposes.”

Jug line = hand line?

Just be careful when running and checking them. Technically can’t be on the WMA after dark and all it takes is one jackass gw to give you some trouble.

some wma's allow after dark access

Have heard it’s legal. Also heard you have to have the noodles labeled with your info though.

Do not need to have that on noodles in LA... here are the rules by WMA.....

That's not true but for a select few. Most wma's that have large lakes allow you to be on them after dark to frog, set yo-yo's or noodles.
