no, but if the tractor will need to be transported by trailer, size/weight play a big role in the size of trailer and pulling vehicle that will be needed.

As well as a smaller tractor can get to more places on the property easier, you have to find the right balance

Something big enough to pull 8ft disc or a cutter wider than the tractor. The smaller implements take along time to get anything done. Unless you have lots of time.

You can buy used farm tractors 100hp+ much cheaper than you can buy a Kubota 50 hp.

You wouldn't put 10 hours a year on a 100 hp with the right attachments.

The quirkiest tractors I still have parts for are Belarus. My uncle sold so many in the 1980's and he loaded up on parts. No frill tractor at the time made for Eastern European or Russian farmer.

Got one that was givin to me. Was running fine and then the next day it wouldn't start. Don't know anything about them and haven't took the time to even look at it.

One of my nephews bought a L2900 Kubota that is a 2009 with 700 hours on it today. Came with a box, choppers ,finish mower, bushhog. Has a front loader too. All service records. Even the oil filters has dates and hours marked on them. Paid $12000. Very clean tractor. Told him he got a power buy.

He got a nice deal in the Kubota.

Belarus Tractors are a quirky brand. They are very simple to work on and made for farmers who were at times days away from a dealer in Eastern Europe.
Some units were tanks and the next shipment same year and same model units would be a total disaster.
For the weekend warrior back in the day they had a good price tag and did what the avg Joe needed.
