Got started late in the Hill Country.
45 degrees and calm
.308
Box over a canyon

mid day it until dark. Debating between these two if I get lucky. Not huge, but good for our place. Any advice?

10pt

Or
Tall 8pt

Between those two, I'd shoot the eight every time.

Yeah, I really want him, but passed earlier this season thinking he may be too young

I'll defer to the experts, but I'm betting if he's an 8 at that age, he's staying there. Eat him with the quickness.

Nickel and dimed 15. Gadwall and Widgeon. Not the greatest hunt, but it turned out to be a nice relaxing shoot.

You people are the reason there are doe days. Quit killing every deer in sight

8 point from this morning, weighed 178 pounds and I measured him out 121 B&C.

My biggest so far. I was watching a doe and 2 little ones and they moved on. Then I saw another doe coming and her tail was twitching so I knew she was hot. I picked up my shotgun and he came out about a minute after.

She kinda spooked when I turned but he just stood there bout 15 yards away. The slug when in one shoulder and lodged in the other.

Another woman takes a good man down!

Just from what I see, the 8 does look younger. I'd shoot the ten fo sho.

Same stand where I saw the 8pt after shooting light yesterday. Put out decoys to draw him out earlier. I have a buck and a doe decoy that are covered in scent. Hopefully it doesn't scare away everything.
