Louisiana does have poison oak, but I have never seen it here. Only poison oak I have ever seen was in California.

I have seen Poison Ivy mimic Virginia Creeper where they grow together, and I have seen Virginia Creeper mimic Poison Ivy in same situations. Poison Ivy out in the woods will often develop broader softer leaves to get as much sun under the canopy as possible, but in sunny areas the leaves are more slender and VA Creeperish, even putting out 4th and 5th leaves. I seent it and verified it.

36 as well. Growing up doing yard work I used to rub up against it all the time and never had a reaction. Did yard work this weekend and now my forearms look like they have herpes.
I know you aren't supposed to scratch but it feels so damn good when you do.

First pic sort of did look like poison oak.
Second pic def looks like poison ivy.
It’s sometimes hard to tell when walking in the woods bc there are other trees and vines with those similar spade shaped leaves. But any leaf shaped similar to that and comes in a three set, I’m steering clear.

I washed my hands immediately after I realized I may have touched it, and had no reaction. So, Im not sure if it was poison oak/ivy or if I even touched it all, but it doesn't matter now.

Zanfel is for washing immediately after exposure to get the urishiol off. Once the rash starts, it is too late to wash away because the oil has penitrated your skin and you are having contact dermatitis. Only hope now is steroids to minimize the reaction.

If you react as bad as I do to that stuff go wash immediately if you think you’ve come into contact with it

No medical expert but we each have a tolerance threshold and once that’s been eclipsed you won’t ever be able to work near it. I’ve had to get steroid injections multiple times

Zanfel will work on minor spots. If it gets in your blood stream and literally spreads across your body like wildfire you definitely have to get the steroid
