Good luck. They killed all the grass. I guess you could graph some of the creek turns and throw a drop shot.

More than you can ever know. My favorite time to fish in the last few years has been fall because the crappie line up on the grass edges. Now, I can't find a pattern at all.

Tell ole baw to wait until Feb. You can get you a lunch sack then. Btw, excellent crappie and excellent afternoon. Believe we may be watching Pocahontas tonight....ha ha. Man, I love those black haired girls now............

Off topic, but have any of you camped there, specifically tent camping? I'm looking at bringing the family there this weekend and any feedback would be appreciated.

Wife and I just got back from tent camping there last week. we used the RV sites not primitive. Don't remember our spot but it had a huge point behind our spot. Very very clean park, not enough geocaches, and I didn't take my boat it is out of commission at the moment. Showers were old but worked. Staff was nice, we also hiked around the primitive area it is nice as well. you all should enjoy it.

Do it. Great sites. I really miss that part of the park.

So tent camping is not restricted to the primitive area? Can you pay for a premium spot and put a tent there? It looks to be only $8 difference. Do you think the RV spots are better than the primative side and are they as secluded? Was firewood available around the site for processing or do I need to bring my own? Again I appreciate all the info.

I look forward to checking Indian Creek out. Everything I have heard is positive. I hope the expected cold front on Saturday does not bring any rain.

You can tent camp in the camper area. You have almost no privacy there. You do have water and electricity plus all spots are somewhat close to a bathroom/shower house. Best to bring your own wood, but they sometimes have those apartment bundles for sale.

No idea how it is in the fall but in late February/early March we used to murder them on watermelon flukes in the lily pads. I love that area but it takes a damn good fisherman to consistently catch there

I use to catch catfish around the island by the boat lane when I was younger. I have not been there in years though.

You gotta sneak up on them in Feb. baw. either that or at night in the summer. But honestly, the lake has been in decline for some time now.
