If your dog comes into my yard with no collar to "leave a present" I would put a Daisy BB in his arse, too. If my dog comes into your yard, please feel free to do the same.

Different topic. He's not in the wrong in the context of his dog being shot.

Technically you shouldn't be letting your dog run loose. However, that doesn't excuse animal abuse. I'd just keep a level head, go talk to the guy about it and see where that gets you first.

Sorry dude, but not everyone likes your dog running around in their yard even if he is friendly. We have a black lab that wanders around our neighborhood. He is very friendly but I prefer the owner keeps the dog leashed (like I do with my dog). It's just common courtesy. However, I have never been tempted to shoot the dog with a bb gun, the owner yes, but not the dog.

It depends on the locale as far as dogs running loose. If my man is out in the country its a given, all dogs run loose. If he's in the city limits somewhere that's a diff story.

I have young children and if a dog is willing to be agressive to me I am not taking any chances with my wife or kids. The last dog that did this chose to do so at 1 am while I was working in my garage. It actually came into the garage a few feet and was growling and snarling at me. Needless to say I woke the neighborhood and it became buzzard food. Interestingly, it was a pit that had been seen roaming the neighborhood for over two weeks and had been reported to animal control by multiple residents.

Sounds like he has multiple neighbors.

S.O.P. for dogs in his yard? Or maybe he is sniping them in others yards?

When I was a kid used to let one of our dogs sleep by the back door sometimes. He would run off at night sometimes I guess and somebody ended up poisoning him. That was when I was 10 or 11, and I'd still like to find the fricker who did it

Taurus PT 24/7 .40 160 gr JHP to the head from 12 ft. One round and a little water hose work later and you would never know it happened.
