i really wanted to get a doe with my bow last weekend, it was a full moon, figured theyd be moving at random times during the day. didnt see anything until about 4:30 when a doe walked out, couldnt get a shot on her. pretty frustrating day really.

Now that I think about it, I did shoot a doe last year at the foot of my box stand as I was getting down. Just stepped off the ladder and see three does and 6 point scream across the plot. Two does stopped and looked at me and bam...'down goes doe'

I cheat, I have 4 game cameras set up on 4 different food plots, when I get to the camp on Friday night I check every one and pattern them bastards from the previous week and try to get in the woods with some idea of when they are going to come out. I did this last year and shot a nice 7 point at 11:20 AM, didnt get into the stand until 10.

happened to me on a shite attack. I open the box door and get out in the back where i wasn't really watching and does looking at me cross eyed. I was leaving my rifle in the box so by time i grabbed rifle, they lickity split.

I'll stay til 9:30 or so on a really slow morning, 10:00 usually. I've gotten off at 8:30 a few times and walked to a different spot right across the trail or one finger over if I underdressed and start to get really cold. If I see deer late in the hunt I'll stay til 10:30 or later. I'm usually too hungry by 11:00 though.

Just depends on the weather, and deer movement. Also on camera pictures. I normally stay 9:30-10, i have gotten out of the stand at 8:30 before. I have been getting pictures of a couple bucks eating acorns at 9:20 the past week or so, so this weekend i wont get out until 10 at least
