How's the temperatures in MT in the summer?
Depends on where you are. In the mountains it will be colder. The had a big snow in the last week or 2.
Out of the mtns it will be warm. In the 80s this time of year.
When we went in 2002 we did a trip completely around Glacier (outside of the park) and up into Canada. We were there in August. South and east of the park it was in the mid 80s. When we were up in Canada we stopped by Prince of Wales lodge. It was in the 50s there.

Western NC is wonderful in many ways, but the hunting is harder than anywhere else in the country I’ve been.
Can confirm. Even if you get on deer, you’ll have idiots running dogs to contend with.

I haven’t been in Montana in August. I got back yesterday from the area south of Glacier NP. The temperatures were lows in the 50s and highs in the upper 70s/low 80s. It was glorious.
In Glacier in the higher elevations we saw temperatures in the 40s and they got 6” of snow at Logan Pass last Saturday.
It sure beats the heck out of July and August here.
