I have about 8-10 squirrels playing tag under my feeder. If I didn't only have slugs in my gun right now, i could get all 7 in 2-3 shots. They will all be in the pot after deer season

I'm for sure killing every last one. We are over run by squirrels. My wife's half brother who has never hunted before decided to start squirrels hunting and came on the property and walked through my plots (right by this feeder) a few weeks ago. Didn't even shoot one because he "didn't see any". He didn't talk anyone he came but my deer cameras caught him. Pissed me off so I'm killing them all so when he comes after deer season, he won't see any

didn't miss anything on my end...had to slow roll it in with a spotlight (I'm gonna have to get some lights for hunting season)...when I got in there were people close to where I wanted to be...they shot plenty and I didn't but saw a lot of ducks...

oh and I had to leave the boat at the Atchafalaya Welcome Center Sunday morning because the 100k mile Vortex super hubs with the 6 year warranty slung the cap - threw out all the grease - burned up the hub and destroyed the spindle...
my week was blessed...it sure could have been worse...

Went in the woods mid morning. Old cut over on big black River. Montgomery county Mississippi. Saw a nice tall rack on edge of cotton field. Shooter for sure but too far away. Half hour later doe comes trotting by within 5' of me. I'm hunting on the ground. Keep looking behind her, and sure enough here he comes. Stops, hesitates, either smells me or senses me, turns broadside. I shoot... He squinches..goes about 20 feet. I give him 15-20 minutes. Can't find him. Wide circle looking.... Jump him again. ....he's hit... Goes in a thicket... Can't find him!

A lot of people on here are way too antsy to see their deer. 30 minutes absolutely minimum before ever going look.

Hardest thing to do is shoot a good buck and wait to go look. Had to wait 2 hours last year on one that I knew was either a wall hanger or I was gonna be in big trouble cause he was too small. Was painful

When the price of waiting 20 extra minutes can make a difference between having a monster in your hands versus being sick the rest of your life, it should be an easy decision.

Shot one yesterday morning at 8:45. Didn't go look for him until 11:45 am. It was very hard sitting at the camp wondering how good my shot was and exactly how big he was

I will probably be back late this weekend or early next week so maybe we can get together then. Went and waded around earlier today to check rose holes close to the levee and some spots for deer. You put in at the pipeline or the locks?
