Yeah ban him from hunting for life. Make him teach hunters Ed for community service on what not to do.

David Berry Sr. and David Berry Jr. have had their hunting, fishing and trapping privileges permanently revoked. Eric Berry had his privileges rescinded for 18 years; Kyle Berry had his revoked for eight years.
“To date, this group of poachers has paid $151,000 in bonds and $51,000 in fines and court costs and collectively served 33 days in jail,” the Conservation Department said.
I wonder why two of them lost priveledges for 18 years and 8 years while the other two had them revoked permanently.

Maybe past violations were taken into account with length of revocations or maybe the other 2 were more cooperative with investigators.

That fits under unusual punishment imo. Shouldn't be allowed. He should get a stiff sentence and be banned from hunting. I guarantee the judge did this to get into headlines and it's working.

Something tells me they’re still going to hunt

I agree. Just one more rule to break. They obviously DGAF. Maybe a permanent ankle bracelet would be better

The bambi thing is stupid. I don't know why the judge thought this was clever.
Is he suppose to watch it and feel remorse? I don't get it.

Sad but true tale, in the early 80's we did far worse at night in bean fields and were required by the state of MS to leave them in the field, could not even donate them to the Children's home.
If something does not change soon I will be getting a depredation permit again, at least you can donate the meat now.
