All he did was cut upper. The lower is still in perfect working order. All he demonstrated was how dumb he is.

He said it’s a legally registered rifle. That doesn’t mean that it’s a full auto? I’m guessing he lives in a state that you have to register guns in?

The comments are hilarious.

ETA: in his pictures on Facebook there is a picture of an AR cut in 3 pieces. One of the cuts goes through the upper and lower where the trigger is.

He did it after the fact. Procedure does matter when destroying a gun though. He did it the wrong way and still manufactured an SBR

My thing is he says he is destroying his weapon because it could end up in the hands of another school shooter, but couldn’t it just as easily end up in the hands of someone who uses it to defend his wife and kids from someone trying to hurt them? I just don’t get that line of thinking.

I mean was he thinking about going to shoot up a school and decided against it? Because if it's secured in his safe, why would he need to do anything with it?

What a dumbass.

How stupid! I couldn't make myself watch the whole thing. His attitude is like a lot of folks now days who base their actions on how it makes them "feel" and now he "feels" good about himself. If he was that worried about the gun getting in the wrong hands he should've just responsibly and safely secured it.
