Call me crazy.
I am in this category as well. My grandfathers rifles are still hanging in the place he hung them after his last hunt. My FIL has rifles and pistols dating back to the pioneer days including one of the first single action armys and 30.06 ever made, they will die with him, me and hopefully my children as well.
Its not that its bad to sell a gun they just often come with memories and if you are going to sell id recommend taking them by an expert to make sure you get a square deal. Lots of folks out there can see value where you might not and screw you with it.

Right. Which is why I asked you guys.
I will make a list and post it and ask king ranch, TTT, you, and some others about pricing.
Grease monkey can step off though

Sorry if I come across like a dick about this but I had Some firearms stolen they were very sentimental to me and I just can't wrap my mind around selling something that was your Father's like a firearm

Don't let these guys bust your balls, if they don't have sentimental value then sell them. Prices are high and there's no better time in recent memory. If your old man was an outdoorsman he'd probably prefer they be used as opposed to sitting collecting dust.
We all like to think that our children will have the same connection to guns that we do. The truth is in many cases they don't and your cherished gun ends up at a pawn shop when your kid needs beer money.
Make a bill of sale, document the transaction and only take cash...
