I am only 25 min from Ruston I could help a brother out.

There are some big deer that come from the Bernice, Homer area every year. My middle girl's boy friend has a 15 pt on the wall that is in the mid 160s he killed when he was 14-15 yrs old.

Just for arguments sake though, Simmons has the Buck contest every year, which is in Bastrop, and I have seen Pictures of Monsters up there. Bastrop and Ruston are not exactly close together, but are all the same type woods from what I have seen.

Good lord man. There has never been a buck from around Bastrop or the pine thickets of Lincoln parish win anything othere than biggest 3 pt. Just because Simmons is located in Bastrop doesn't mean that's where the deer hail from. Your pictures are not legit and you know it.

Now, wait a minute, that ain't true..
I heard there was a trophy 5 point sighted around the Mill and Slaydens Barbque area.. I think the train got him though, when Calvin and Kenny Natts beagles ran him through town. Had about 49 palmetto bushes stuck to the big 3 on one side, side..

you know,,,, normally, fellers from our part of the country don't exaggerate or embelish,, too much..

actually, i think that i read somewhere, maybe Dr. Kroll, that pine cones, prefereably plum creek pine cones, are very beneficial and are a key component to the development of trophy bucks teeth...

I am curious as well. These photos look very familiar to that video that went around a couple years back of that huge deer in Michigan, I believe it was.

takes off to scour internet for video.

eta: It was Wisconsin. Although the deer looks very familiar I don't think it is the same one. Here is the link anyway, since this deer is so impressive...

My first thought looking at how blurry they were was that it looked exactly like some of my pics shooting through game fences on the side of the road in Texas. There's some places out there that have deer like that that almost make you shite your pants just driving down the road. But normally, they've got an ear tag. And they don't like letting them keep those horns for long because they'll hurt each other with them.

Not saying the guy is not being 100% honest, but I know Karl Malone has a high fenced place north of Ruston. I don't think he tags most of his deer because he doesn't do much breeding. He just buys them and shoots them. So he could have taken those pictures through a fence. Not sure why you would lie about something like this though.
