I don't really know much about these small engines other than the fuel side, is there a way to fix thus and is it worth it?

It's a pretty nice blower I'll have to post what model when I get home

Guy at repair shop said not worth fixing but he sells new ones sooooooo....

If you lost compression its probably the top end and unless you buy the cheap Chinese top end kits and do it yourself it's it's not worth it.

He's right, buy a new one! It's pretty much a disposable blower.

Not worth the cost after the labor rate is added to the cost of repair.

Buy a 100 dollar Craftsman. Mine just went out after 10 years. Bought another one.

I went through 2 of these - each lasted right at a year. Bought a Stihl for $30 more - just made 2 years and still running strong

Likely needs new piston / cylinder. If you don't want to buy a new blower, replacement is easy. Chinese parts can be found for around $50.

Check and make sure the spark plug is tight, if so pull the muffler off and take a look at the piston. If it's smooth with no scoring you need to look elsewhere. If it has a lot of scoring vertically then you are toast.
