I put one on my barn/workshop. It is a Civic. Buy a compressor, change it out. Borrow a vac pump from auto zone and refill with refrigerant. It is really that simple. Make certain that you do not have any leaks)

3000 miles is back from the SD grades of motor oils. Modern Regular mineral oils are good to at least 7500 miles - Synthetics even longer. Wife had a BMW and oil change interval was close to 25K - Other than BMW Oil, Mobil 1 was the only substitute

Quick connect will reduce flow to burner unless you have high pressure gas (like a propane bottle) Go to a good hardware store or gas supply company and buy a good burner and regulator. Struggles will be over. That Chinese stuff is not going to last you very long...

I am with the OP. Military Veteran and since punching out have spent a lot of time in the mideast and some time in china. These people do not give a Shite about that. Their worries are more basic.
The only people who make a big deal of military capabilities and war in general is the news media...

I have been using the same burner in that picture for a number of years. Hook up directly to natural gas line - no regulator necessary as residential gas pressure is pretty low
Works just fine. Those quick connects restrict the flow, recommend that you do not use them...

I store my party barge in Foley and use it every time I go to OBA. Cruise around the back bays, bar hop, find a private beach. My favorite part of going to the Beach. Would not trade it for anything different...

The breaker is intended to protect the wiring and components being serviced by the circuit. If you do not change the breakers, your wiring and plug will trip at 15 amps (lower than the outlet is rated for). Should not present a fire hazard...
