Last Sunday on the radio I heard John Folse cooking 4lbs of gar tenderloin in a smoker using sassafras wood. It sure sounded good on the radio.

Every time you guys start talking about eating a gar, all I can think about is the smell of a big pile of those slimy things from back when we used to bowfish.
