This is why I hate dealing with me mechanics I don't personally know, and like having at least some knowledge on the subject. The last 2 times I brought my truck to the place where I used to fricking work for the summer, they tried to make me replace $600 worth of parts I obviously didn't need. Like I'm stupid or something. fricking assholes.

This is the correct answer. Although I have had them go for 130k, most change them at 100k.
Also, look to be swapping out the water pump at around that time. I dont know how it is on the newer ones, but on the 99-04 Tacomas they typically also go between 100k and 130k
For injectors and throttle body, just Seafoam it. You can also take the throttle body off and clean it by hand. I did it on my F250 and it has maybe 1mm of carbon buildup on the whole ID.
I had a dealership in BR change out my cat a while back, and for some reason, they snapped an exhaust manifold bolt in two. It is like an all-thread bolt, and they stripped out 2 of them and broke 1. I drove off and the usual smell of new exhaust was there, along with a large exhaust manifold leak. When I got home, I could actually shake the manifold and see the gap in it. It was like pulling teeth to get them to fix it. All just because they didn't let the motor cool before working on it.
The plugs are a 30 min job. Gap them right and you are good to go
