How many of you with Individual NFA items worry about your spouse having possession...

...without you being around? Filled out a Form 4 over the weekend as an Individual. My wife isn't an enthusiast like I am so I doubt she would ever have possession without me around, but reading online about her just having access to it via a safe/lockbox could be "incriminating".

For those of you in the same boat, are you worried at all? I plan on submitting a Form 1 as an Individual soon, but before I do, I'm considering a trust. I understand if I want to transfer the Form 4 item later, it's going to be another $200.

We plan on having kids one day, and adding them to a trust seems logical when the time is right, but I don't see me having more than 2 NFA items... for now.

All my NFA items are in a trust with me my dad, my wife and my son as a beneficiary. I haven't purchased anything since they changed the rules.

I have never thought about it. My wife, like yours, isn't a gun person either. I created the trust for my offspring only.

I wouldn't put it past the government to do some shady confiscation using this reasoning, but it's a low risk chance. I never really thought of it.

Yeah, I went the trust route as well and she’s listed as a trustee, in the event something happens to me.

That’s the twitch. If you die and it’s in your house, she’s in possession of it, illegally.

Do you have to do an individual trust for NFA items or can they be added to an already existing trust that has all my inheritance in it such as land houses, etc……with myself and my parents?

Never even thought about it. Hell I have a trust and can’t even remember who the beneficiary is lol.

Anyone have a recommendation for a good trust lawyer that could put everything together for something like this?

The guys over at subreddit /NFA really seem to like National Gun Trusts.

NGT Gun Trust

NGT EFT Fingerprinting

https://reddit.com/r/NFA

Apparently, if you buy the electronic finger print addition from National Gun Trust, they’ll call you to schedule an appoint with a UPS Store to have them do the fingerprints. UPS will fingerprint you and all RPs, they’ll email NGT the prints, and NGT will forward them to you. That’s from my understanding.

The fact that you even have this concern is proof the NFA is unconstitutional bullshite.
