shite you don't even have to hit the lake. Water is shitty in a bunch of spots as of 2 days ago. Hit the cheramie up, you aughta catch.

No way I would try to cross Verret tomorrow. Just not worth it.
I'll be in the canals in the Cheramie myself.

I grew up on this lake, parents still have a camp on this lake...

The worst I have ever been in, is when running the lake you could see the tops of crab traps in the troughs of the waves...

It was a great lake to grow up on and learn how to drive in rough water.

Yes

I don't know the size of the boat you have but you could put in at Attakapas. It will be a little rough leaving the landing with the wind out of the south but its a small section to cross before getting into 4 mile bayou area

20 foot skeeter bass boat or 21 foot bullet. So we can take it even if it is a little scary

You will be more than fine with either of those rigs.

And just to clarify Cheramie canals are actually off of grassy lake if that makes sense. Don't know how well you know the area so it's probably something you already knew.

You can also put in at belle river if you wanted to skip the lake all together

My buddy has a camp on belle river across from where the river splits down from Paizano's.

Last weekend we smoked fish just around the camp so we will try to do that first. Just need a back up plan

Caught 7 bass, 71 chinquapin (a few were bluegill but 90% Chinqs) and 4 catfish on Belle River yesterday. All on one bank protected from wind.

There were legit waves on the river with white caps. Highest wind I've ever fished in
