I would say at least 20-30ft. There are some rather large vessels that anchor along the sea wall in Madisonville.

The Tchefuncta River flows into Lake Pontchartrain about 21 miles N of New Orleans. Commerce on the river is in shell and steel products. A dredged channel leads from the 10-foot depth in Lake Pontchartrain for about 12.2 miles up Tchefuncta River and its tributary, Bogue Falaya, to the town of Covington, LA.

damn that terrible, i would say 15 or more at the end and probably 8-10 on the in side. a big magnet would be best. tried looking for some keys at marina del ray at the launch with goggles and couldn't see anything 3 ft down

With the current, Id say its gone, however we did find some sunglasses after they had been in the water for a few minutes by trivers. So anything is possible.
