yall read my mind. There is a good chance I'll be ferrying people and hunting stuff in and out so the extra hp makes sense.

I run a 25 merc on a 1957 arkansas traveler 14’ flat bottom. You don't have to go wide open but you will have option

I had a Duracraft 1436 with Evinrude 30hp. That boat was fast.

25’s we’re made for 14x48 Jon boats and vice versa.
