OB - Are there any decent crabbing spots around Houston? My father in law said he used to go to High Island, just east of Galveston, years ago but is unsure about it now. I’m just looking for something that isn’t too far.

TIA

Thanks Zappas. Have you ever been there? How many crabs can I expect?

I used to always see people crabbing off of a little footbridge along some old railroad tracks over Moses Bayou. You’d need a long net if you’re doing the chicken on a string method, though.

Down by Texas City.

Spend 20 bucks and buy a crab hawk crab trap. Made by a local to me company. All you need is a sturdy rod, little lead, and bait.
