I'm wondering if anyone knows of a source for parts(starter) other than the Honda dealer. Thanks.

RockyMountain ATV or Partzilla. I used RMA the most. Prices are good on OEM parts.

I prefer to take the starter off and take it to a local shop that rebuilds the OEM starter. Down time isn't a problem for me on an ATV or boat and the rebuilt OEM starter is better than the Chinese stuff.

I replaced the starter on my father's 420 Rancher about a year ago with one off of amazon. He didn't want to pay the OEM price.
Haven't had any issues yet
