I have been using a pair of Lacrosse Big Burly 800gram for the last 8 or so years and they are still holding up well. Plenty warm enough for south LA most of the time. I will wear insulated socks on those really cold mornings. 100x better than non-insulated boots.

Update: Got my boots in yesterday, along with my Summit Viper SD.
Went with the Lacrosse Alphaburly 800 sport. Really like them. They have great range of motion, and are surprisingly light.
Very pleased with the feel, now I am ready to check them out in the woods.
