no I really got used to days and was enjoying the family time, until then I was loving dogs now not so much. Each night my girls ask me why I'm going to work and when will I be able to go back to days.

if you don't mind me asking what age range are you in? and did you ever consider leaving where you are now for a job with more normal working hrs.

I can't decide what I want to do, I don't know if I still want to be doing this when I'm 50-60 yrs old.

I'm 53, started working in a plant when I was 20. Ya I would like to have normal working hours one day but the mony is pretty good in the chemical plant industry. I'm an operator so there's not much oppertunities for a straight day job.

yeah I'm on salary (pretty good for N Louisiana) and we work m-f with weekends off.

I'm just trying to decide if I want to try a different place or stick it out here and see how things go in the future.

We work a rotating shift, days and nights, will work two weekends and have two weekends off every month. That's pretty standard in the refining/petrochemical industry.

Wish we could just shut these things down every week so we could be off every weekend.
