You have a couple options. The NRCS EQIP plan is good. Open enrollment is due in November but start working on it now. You will need to register with the FSA first. Ask them for a TSP in your area. The NRCS will pay them to help you. You will probably make some money on the process.

Option 2 is to apply to the LA FPP plan. It gives you a maximum of $10,000 to replant. The application time is in the spring.

You will need to probably spray, burn and plant 605 trees per acre. This is very common.

How many acres.....natural regen is pretty effective unless you are on a tree farm.

Thought about natural regeneration but some other property I hunt on did that and it’s covered in tallow trees.

I didn’t leave any big seed trees. My luck it would fill up with sweet gums.

You can get cost shares for loblolly in MS. They max out at $10k. I just got one in 2025.
