shells are heavy

with all the extra pounds our hunting gear causes on top of the normal gear required for a week long wilderness camp, you start counting the ounces

I want my pack to be about 65 lbs

You are bringing purification pump so there must be access to water.

Looks like you got it covered. I don't know if a machete would help. Not much brush to hack through there.

not for brush, mostly to cut some firewood, but a hatchet would work better for that

Why hatchet if it's for firewood? Wouldn't a folding saw be lighter and more practical?

How about communications?

Cell phones probably wont work. Is there some way to call for help if needed, flare gun or distress signal.

I'd rather go to town with a folding saw with the serrated edges.
