I like WGI stuff but would like to try something different. I am only interested in IR cameras.

Specific models would be most helpful.

What price range? I use scoutguard cameras and have been more than happy. The last camera I bought was a Primos XCam Blackout and I love it. It's completely black flash and I haven't had a picture yet of a deer looking at the camera. I've seen some bad reviews on them, but mine has had zero issues. My brother has a couple of Moultree M80s that are great for the money.

Primos 35/46 or the M80 would be the camera I would look at. Good Solid Camera's that won't break the bank.

My WGI are pretty good and I believe DT1 uses them also.

Look around for reconditioned Cuddeback Capture IR's. I am intrigued by the Primos and other "Blackout" models but I have always had great results from an equipment and service perspective with Cuddeback. I own a Moultrie and a WGI but IMHO the Cudde is worth the extra dough.

The new moultrie i55 is a good one as well as the m80! I just bought one of the primos ultra 35 so the verdict is still out on it. Whatever you do dont buy a cuddeback! Overpriced because they give them to the celebrities to advertise on tv. They take really good pics when they work but they will not last and customer service is pathetic! I would stick with moultrie!

bushnell trophy cams are hard to beat for the price. I just bought a couple primos35's and they seem pretty good for the money.

Whatever you do, do not buy cuddeback. They have become the absolute worst cameras on the market, and they are legendary for their horrible customer service. Just do a google search for their reviews.

I would go to that camera review website and look for some of the lesser known brands that dont spend a ton on marketing.

I have two of these and no complaints except these are also the first IR game cams I have owned and the deer can see the lights on them. I never had that problem with game cams with a flash. Are all IR game cams easily seen at night?

Also look at the Bucket of Bucks thread. That deer is watching that game cam and it is a Primos IR cam. Yall like IR or flash? I am thinking about going back to cams with flashes. I thought that was the whole idea of the IR, was to be so well hidden so it didnt bother the deer and it seems to me, that it bothers them worse than flashes do.
