They hang out several weeks every year in my lease. Very cool to sit in the duck blind and hear those loud suckers fly around. They've been as close as about 75 yds a few times but I've never gotten closer to them than that.

They are in our field pretty much every year just south of LSUA. They usually stay 3-4 days at a time then you will have another group come in. 2 years ago there must have been over 1000 of them but usually 3-400. And they are awesome table fare. more like filet mignon

They are in practically ecery field along the river here in N AL right now. A few wooping cranes mixed in as well. No season here for them either.

There are hundreds of them between tallulah and Lake Providence each winter. They have been wintering there for years.
