A few years ago I was spending the weekend at a family friend’s cabin on a bayou in the middle of nowhere. The deck overlooking the bayou had a shooting bench with steel set up way the other side of the bayou. There was a nice precision rifle there so I decided to help myself to a few rounds.

As soon as I squeezed off the first round, the entire area instantly had snake stink.

I didn’t want to know what was going on under that deck and I watched my damn step the rest of the weekend.

fun fact, that's actually an initialism.

acronyms are abbreviations made up of a series of letters that form a word you can say, i.e. SCUBA, SWAT, RADAR

initialisms are abbreviations made up of a series of letters that DO NOT form a word, i.e. FBI, CIA, DVD, GDCK/GDKC

Teague, FWC just released 8 indigos in the Florida Panhandle. 5 females 3 males. Thought you might be glad to hear this.

Yeah, I saw an article about the ones they're reintroducing to the Apalachicola bluffs area. I think the article I saw said 15, but that may have been the total for this year.
