Anyone have suggestion for fishing charter in gulf shores? Can be inshore/nearshore, don’t care about keeping, just want to catch fish for 16yo cousin.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Reel Kill charters. Went with them a few weeks ago and they were good

How do fishing charters there work? Do they clean and let you keep the fish to take home? Just curious, I've never been on one.

Called a few options on here and the schedules didn’t line up.
Did a trip with Extreme Chaos charters with the intent to catch and release for pulls. First stop was an “elephant walk” of boats on a sunken barge inconsistently catching kings/Spanish mackerel. We caught one king and one snapper there.
Went looking for snapper at a nearby reef, guide was on a borrowed boat while his in the shop, the borrowed boat didn’t have the waypoint. The guide tried to find it based on beachfront location, but we were slightly off. He runs boat to nearest boat and it ends up being a guide he knows - they come back with us and mark the reef for us. We got to catch snapper in 40’ of water, pretty neat to see them come up and hit the bait. Great trip.

The situation underlined above does not normally result in the second underlined portion above....sounds like a good guide bent on getting into some fish...many would have just chalked it up to a bad day of fishing and that's why they call it fishing and not catching....dude sounds like a promising option.

It was a 4 hour charter and he pulled that off, which made it more impressive to me.
I was quite concerned when we were head towards the reef, he realized waypoint wasn’t on GPS, and said “frick” about 20 times.
