Going this weekend any pointers for surf fishing or any charter recommendations.

If you are going with family, leave the rod n reels home to spend sone time with them. If they want to fish, take separate vacation to grand isle or sone place like that to really get on the fish.

If you are going to fish the beach, bring 7ft plus rod, basic surf tackle, and use some cut bait until you catch some live mullet. Go to a sand bar away from beach goers to get away from murky water and you should catch a few edible keepers

Yeah, if you are coming from Louisiana do your fishing at home. You won't find anything on the Alabama coast that compares. The beaches are another story.

Red head white body top water or shallow diving has produced for me but nothing I could eat. Fun In the morning before the beach gets active.
