Not sure why, but I opened this with the swiftness as I read it "Green Jean" problem.
Sorry, I can't help.

That looks like some aphid damage to me...you see any bugs under the leaves or anywhere else on the plants. Regardless, I would spray the shite out of them.

If it’s tiny bugs, mix soap and water in a spray bottle and problem solved

starting green beans in July aint gonna work good. they prefer cooler weather. I plant mine in march in North LA. About to pull mine up as the heat has gotten to them and production is way down. Can probably replant in late august and get a fall crop

I talked to a north LA farmer who said his green beans and pintos didn’t do crap this year. He wasn’t sure if it was weather or what, but they just never made enough to bother with.

You could send that bean photo to Dan Gill or someone with the LSU Ag Center. They’ll usually take a shot at diagnosing it and offering a solution.

These were planted in March.

But it no longer matters, deer just wiped them out completely.

Im in North LA and planted mine late. Like mid April. They are just now playing out but made a decent crop. Squash didnt do crap. Our weather went from cold to hot. It was too cold to plant then we had two weeks of spring then it went to record hot temps. I will probably re-plant in August to try and get a fall crop
