Looking at getting the proturn 48, just wanted to know what the OB's experience was with Gravleys.

I have a Gravely Commercial 52". Never had a problem in 6 years and I'm pretty hard on shite. Mow about 3.5 acres w/ it...

When I was a kid we had one with the sulky and that thing was a beast. Wasn't much you could do to kill it.

Starting them were fun. You had to risk losing a digit by the chain spinning on the crank shaft.
But once it started it would pull you like a bull.

the cast iron gear boxes on them things was indestructable. I remember using a fricking rotary plow on one before. Caught a root and the whole damn thing spun around, throwing me from it and it started coming for me!

I love mine, only issue I've had were ethanol gas eating the fuel lines.
