Grand Isle late April-early May

Is surf fishing for Specks good this time of year? What else is good that time of year for that area? We have some kayaks, too. Thanks for the input.

I just asked this question recently on here and the board consensus was that May the trout are on the beaches. This has been a cold winter so that could potentially slow things down. I'll be down May 18-20

May in grand isle is speckle trout Mardi Gras.
April is usually too windy

Not really sure but right now the Reds are THICK in the marsh. 3 man limits in less than 2 hours this past Saturday and Sunday.

Honestly I don't think location really mattered that much. We pulled up the first spot and I caught 5 in 5 cast on a swim bait. No matter where we went it was easy to get bit.

we've been limiting out on the side of the road until it warmed up some, haven't even been in the boat since early December

may try to go sometime next week though

Same here. Ripped their arse this winter. Got redfish and trout in da freezer for days.

May can be too windy. June is the best month if you have to pick a date vs fishing the conditions.

They usually arrive sometime in April, generally the middle of the month but i would expect them to be there in May regardless. It usually coincides with the time love bugs start showing up in decent numbers.
