It sounds unbearable...unless you can get hot water. I don't know how hot the water is coming out of an outboard but I wouldn't think hot enough.

I stepped on a hardhead when I was 12 and that sucked!

Hit me like a scorpion does when I stepped on it.

Got stung by a tiny hardhead and learned the lesson to never fool with them again. Good buddy gave me a tiny Louisville Slugger and it gets used often, stays in the boat in the summer. I'm glad i'm not the only one that was in near black-out pain from those little f'ers. Got me right in the knucke of middle finger and that finger wasn't right for over a year thereafter
