Not sure where you got your information, but I don't believe you.

The shipyards all use it because it's safe to go into the water, Pop would buy the stuff in 55 gallon drums!

Meh, used correctly, it doesn't. Any cleaning product, not diluted properly, or used incorrectly (left on too long) can cause damage to finishes.

I like my humminbirds combined with the ipilot link. however that new lowrance with the 3d image would have me thinking long and hard about a lowrance
