Not really all to hard operate its basically movie maker + IMO. I know Cineform is available to download via the go pro website. I have never used it with my Hero2 just adobe but I would be willing to help anyone who needs it with adobe software.

What do y'all use to convert the .mp4 to .wmv? I'm losing resolution in a big way, but I downloaded some free program called Any Video Converter...

You are losing video quality anytime you convert to be honest. If you can keep the mp4 format you are better off. I don't know if your uploading your videos to YouTube or not but if so you need to render in H.264(mp4)with a bitrate of 8 Mbps. I'm not sure if movie maker will let you render it in anything other than WMV, which is degrading the video and creates huge file sizes. I'll see if I can find y'all a free/affordable editing program.

I just meant like a printer comes with a driver disc, maybe gopro had their own editing software so you don't have to use some other companies product to use their(gopro) product.

You don't really need editing software to use their product. The files are recorded in mp4 format that you can watch on any computer, just like flipping through pictures from your digital camera. You only need to buy editing software if you want to do advanced editing, much like you would buy photoshop for advanced editing of pictures.

I used to editing videos with WMM, and now I do with video making software ShowBiz, it's as easy as WMM and you can edit videos just by dragging video clips or photos into storyboard. Special effects such as transitions, subtitles and so forth are allowed to add to live up your videos or create your own video

I used Adobe Premiere Elements.

Convert them using Cineform,

Bit going to get professional quality stuff, but it's a few steps above raw video.

1st post bumps a thread from last year...

Seriously though, I just bought a gopro and am not impressed with WMM, so this has been on my mind. I support your bump.
