in short, using company A's magazine in company B's firearm should be perfectly fine. if that weren't the case, Magpul wouldn't be in business

SHOULD BE...

Go research the Shield Arms 15 rd. G43/48 GEN 1 mags

I have had my share of issues with aftermarket mags. I own many glock pistols and not one issue with a Glock mag.

These are my experiences. You may have different ones

I'm talking more about magazines, Trigger bars, and internal parts.

Agree 100% on those.

I came to the conclusion that if I can’t get out of a situation with 10 rounds or get to my rifle, I just need to run. My 43x is the perfect carry gun. I don’t trust the shield mags for anything but range fun, the shield plus is too big now, the p365 grip is too short, I can shoot my 43x just fine.

I picked up a G30S yesterday. It has the same size slide as a G19, a little thicker grip, but the grip length is between the G26 and G19. It holds 10 rounds of 45acp, which should be plenty for whatever I’ll ever need it for. I got it mainly to use as my new deer tracking handgun, but I’ll probably use it as my fall and winter EDC as well.

It handles recoil extremely well. Even with +P that I shot through it today, it was no more snappy than 9mm.

I must be the oddball man on earth. I find the glock factory triggers to be great for what they are.

They are great for what they are and I have no issues with a bone stock Glock. Not knocking them at all.

But when the requirement is surgical shooting under severe time constraint, you need trigger/sights/barrel to squeeze out the needed accuracy.

1911s were (and still are in come cases) the go-to for a long time until hi-cap striker fired pistols reached the point they could be made to perform to the same standard.

I can't believe that no one has mentioned carry a spare mag. For my Hellcat I carry 14 rounds in the pistol. And the spare with 11 rounds

I agree, my Canik triggers are my favorite but I shoot my Glocks well too. Not competition quality but definitely fine for self defense and range fun.

Yea i gotta say for a comp gun, a 1911 or 2011 is all id be able to use. I shoot glocks well enough for self defense use but 1911's are so much easier.

A P226/229 is great for defense as well. I never shot the single action only ones, but I imagine they are pretty excellent as well.

Glocks triggers are perfect for a self defense pistol I think. I just wish they'd offer a thumb safety model.

I bought a single stack 50 round mag drum for one of my 43x pistols. Works flawless. Not ideal to carry but good if you have to keep blasting.
