Sounds like he is shooting aluminum.
Every new Glock I've bought came with 2 fired Blazer aluminum test casings.

I've never heard of this, and I've bought a few brand-new Glocks.

My 43X has never had any issue with aluminum (or steel) case ammo that I can think of. Either in the factory mags or Shield Arms.

The subcompact model 36 was known for malfunctions if you limp-wristed even a little bit.

This 100%. Subcompact pistols in any brand do not respond well to limp wristing.

ETA: What model Glock ?? The subcompact model 36 was known for malfunctions if you limp-wristed even a little bit. The Model 21 will let you get by with poorer technique --- the Model 30 falls somewhere in between as far as recoil.

Glock really fricked up by making the G45 model a 9mm, same as the G40 and 10mm

My gen 1 Glock 17 did not like Blazer Aluminum cases ammo.

That is interesting. I have a 17 as well but I am not sure the generation. I found the blazer ammo on sale years ago and bought a arse load of them. I have never had one jam. My 17 is about 20 years old.

Anyway to tell which one I have?

Does it have finger grooves where you hold it and an accessory rail below the barrel? If yes, that's a gen 3. If not, your 20 year old gun is older than 20 years old.
