An old guy at church gave me some .308 ammo Sunday. He said his deddy bought them to shoot in his gun in the 70s. The rounds come in these red carriers you can put on your belt. Pretty cool. I hate to shoot them.

Send them to Alabama, i'll shoot them for you!!
Seriously i have a few boxes from the 60s and 70s that were given to me by an older gentleman as well. I will probably never shoot them because you will never find full boxes of 30-06 with a sticker price of $1.50 still on the box.

Got a bunch of 30.30 ammo like that.

I'd hold on to them just for the nostalgia value.

Honestly I'd keep the ammo stored and use those belt carriers at the range. That's pretty slick.

Gifted my cousin’s 4 sets. 2 each of 30-30 and 30.06 along with a rifle for each.

There are actually ammo collectors out there. They collect old ammo still in the original boxes.
There's a guy in Sumter, SC with a huge collection. His collection is housed in an old roadside gas station like we used to have back in the 50s and 60s.
Quite a bit of old vintage ammo is sold on Gunbroker .....

Bear claw bullets?

The belt carriers look cool but are inefficient. They don’t hold bullets well under hunting conditions. I still have some Federal ammo in the box from that time.
