Wasn't expecting that. Hopefully, they will not touch JL Audio. No need to change it. They can keep Fusion as their lower line of products

Yeah I’m interested to see how this affects JL quality. Probably good news from a headunit standpoint, because JL media master is a overpriced piece of garbage. But they better leave the speakers alone.

Even though I prefer the Fusion(Garmin) amps to JL amps, you really can’t beat the sound quality of JL speakers.

Maybe they fixed some issues in the MM105, but the MM100 was garbage.

I have heard others talk smack on the Media Master.

Mine has been fine. It was easy to connect to my JL amps and set up. I could not be happier with my full JL system. Sounds amazing

I mean unless you use DSP amps they’re all “easy to hook up” lol. Just RCA cables and power.

I have no issues with traditional JL amps other than you can get traditional fusion amps for a little cheaper and IMO same quality/a little more power.

DSP amps maybe different story. I’ve only messed with the Fusion DSP amps but they have a ton of power for the price point and were super easy to set up.

Like I said though JL speakers are hard to beat. Have 12 M6 speakers on my boat and love every single one of them

Yea, I have a full system of the M6 speakers. 6.5’s, 7.7’s, 8.8’s and 10” subs. I have 3 of the “M” series amps as well.

I’ve had good luck with Garmin so I would hope they keep their customer service centric model as a focus.

Agree but I think the concern in the Audio industry will be how will they fiddle with JL and its quality. They already own Fusion so adding the competition is typical these days.

Personally, I think there is a gap in quality from JL to Fusion and I hope it stays there. But you never know what they will do.

Had some good quality brand new JL in my bay boat when I sold it. Saw it the other day and guy replaced everything w Fusion.

Anyway, this is interesting purchase for Garmin.

Some of the recent fusion speakers are a good value. Can catch them on clearance from time to time.
