Old faithful crapped out and was shopping for a new one.
Found Amazon, price seems too good to be true and doesn't have any reviews. Clearly some knock off company in China but even after a 3 year protection plan it's under $200.
Anyone ever taken a flyer on something like this? With Amazon's return policy not really sure what the downside would be.
I've never bought something like this from Amazon so maybe this is a stay away type thing so figured I'd ask.

How much money worth of food do you keep in your freezer?
Do you think all that would be worth losing?

Definitely coming from overseas. You'll be lucky to get it in that time frame.

I keep a govee wifi thermometer on my freezer since at some point they all go out.
I'll probably pass on it but figured I'd see if anyone has had success on something like this.

I’d be interested to see how well they work for that price. Definitely seems too good to be true.
FWIW this is what I replaced mine with a couple years ago… https://www.homedepot.com/p/GE-Garage-Ready-17-3-cu-ft-Frost-Free-Defrost-Upright-Freezer-in-White-FUF17QRRWW/317602480
$730 free delivery.

It's $30 and would prefer to get a live alert on my phone if temp drops.
That was is fine but you only know when you open and see that.

we use the yolink system, i am sure it is similar, and like he said I would rather know the temp is rising and be able to do something about it before everything thaws and refreezes than to just know it went out and came back on
bonus that you can link water sensors to it as well and put in your AC drain pan, water heater drain pan, under sink, etc and get notified of water leaks or your AC pan filling up before the float switch shuts off your system

Damn for that price it might be worth the risk. Just put a temp sensor in it.
I've had an old chinese made hisense chest freezer on my cousin's pier for about 10 years now, it looks like hell but is still chugging along.

Well problem solved, just clicked the link to go back to the amazon page and it has been removed.
There is solid Hisense 17 cu ft stainless one at Costco for $550 I'll probably grab.
