Got a rental house on the bay in Fort Morgan 2nd week of June. It’s got a fishing pier. Are there specs in the bay? Any tips for fishing in that area?

Thanks!

We will be there around the same time. I’d like for the boys to wet a line and catch a few. The area across the road on the bay side looks fishy.

Just left fort Morgan today, got raped by 22mph winds couldnt catch a cold out there. Saturday I caught 3 slot pompanos, a few cats, a 2ft wide stingray and lost a monster fish due to a bad hookset. I dont know what it was but it was ripping out 15lbs of drag on my battle II 4000 without even realizing it was hooked lol.

Live shrimp around rigs in bay. Light leader and small hook.

Fish around the public boat launch. I’ve caught reds and some monster flounder there tossing a white Gulp.

On the bay side across from Pontoon Lane is a decent wading spot. I’ve seen people also fish from the bank there.

If you are used to fishing the LA coast, or even the MS coast, you will likely be disappointed.
