First, let me say that this is a trivial post in light of what you guys are dealing with. My entire family lives in La and although I moved to NC 22 years ago, my heart breaks for you guys. Many years ago my wife and I built our first house together on Bear Cave road in Watson. If any of you are familiar with that road..Deepwoods Subdivision, if I recall correctly, could you let me know the status? Pictures would be awesome. It would help my friends here in NC understand the magnitude.

Everything on that side of 1019 got absolutely demolished. Bear cave road had water lapping over 1019 on its far east end. I live damn near right across 1019 from Bear cave.
Had several friends that live over there.

My parents live on Sarah Lane and it completely flooded. Bear Cave was the same result.

Bear Cave flooded pretty badly, except for maybe a few houses at the front near the main road. Flood water was at least 5-6 feet in some spots.

I don't know how to post pictures, and honestly, you don't want to know what the neighborhood looks like right now. Entire houses of flood debris on the street in front of every house. Just like many, many other neighborhoods across the region right now.

My parents also built one of the first houses in there and still live in the subdivision so you probably know them. Anyways, yes the entire neighborhood got it bad except a few houses at the front

same here, it's nice to see not everyone flooded. it's just sad to see so much loss of property.
