Considering the front coming through Sunday, would Monday be a good day for fishing? I've never had a good day after a front, but a friend of mine is wanting to go.

Never once had a good day after a front but a bad day of fishing is better than a good day of most other things, especially work

normally is not as good fishing the day after a front

but its more about the amount of change then anything, if its just 4-5 degree temp difference it doesnt effect fishing and if its a warm up it improves fishing

its the ones that come in and temps drop 10-15 degrees that make fish shut down and stop eating until they adjust to the new temps

2 days before and 2 days after is what I always heard BUT I’m going to wet a line in this 20 mph wind after lunch just because I can.

Just depends on how cold it is. Like others have already said the water is usually dirty the day after a front. The last big front we had about 2 weeks ago, I went down to Grand Isle and fished highway 1 the day after the cold front went through. Lots of dirty water and it was super windy. Ended up finding clean water and the trout were on. Ended up with 22 specks. I’d say 2 days after a cold front are the best as long as it’s still cold

Yea I think we might change plans, barely enough water in canal at joes to get off lift ha ha

I got a report from HR&G that they had a guide catch a bunch of reds at mouth of oyster bayou only reason I was headed there.

That was last week, me I would head north. One founder on hump yesterday and zero at turnaround. ICW drains might be money.

Went to Bayou Bienvenue. Mostly scouted as we've only been there once. Lots of boats out, most by the wall. A couple people said they caught 9-12 specks.
