Had a doe come out while I was filling a feeder and putting out a camera. She stayed while I hung the camera and all. Didn’t blow or run off, just casually fed away. She looked healthy and normal, crazy.

That’s awesome. The psyche of wild animals is very crazy and sometimes they just don’t care. I had a pair of does, or a doe and a fawn, that would come out every day and hang out around the porch at the camp for a while. If they didn’t taste so good I could never kill those majestic creatures.

Sunmertime:

- shoot at target
- start putting bullet in gun to shoot again
- deer start walking out everywhere in front of target
- go chase deer away
- walk back to table and realize all deer are back out in front of target again

Winter:

- load gun to try to shoot a deer
- see no deer
- unload gun
-repeat 150 times until season is over

You should go back for several days and whistle a tune while you’re feeding and watching her, do that all year so that she come running when she hears you coming to the feeder.
Skip a few days then repeat during the prime rut.

Kind of like ducks. I’ve scouted the day before the opener and pulled into ponds and they don’t move. Just looked at me like what’s up? Then the opener they are sky high waving their arse saying sky blast me! Waste those shells!!!
