I will be fine with my 7 shot .357 if the shite hits the fan inside my home. Every other gun I own is strategically placed as well as loaded, should I be in a different room when TSHTF, or if I need additional ammo. I didn't mention my killer half dachshund, half doberman pincher that is my first line of defense.

My home can fight off a small militia if need be.

Yea, my dachshund will always lead the charge. In case he doesn't lick and ear slap the intruder enough, my trust 18 inch rem 870 will do the trick. Hoping to get the keltec KSG soon though.

Youth model 870 20ga, 12ga 870 pump, 12ga 1100 riot gun, Ruger 10/22 all distributed around the house, (kids grown). Everyone knows where they are and how to use them. And then there are the dogs.

You sir want a pump shotgun. Remington 870 marine magnum if you wanna spend some money. 870 express youth 20ga magnum if you wanna go a cheap route.

Any pump in 12 or 20 gauge is what you need. Pistols are hard as frick to shoot and their absolute only advantage is you can easily carry or conceal them. They suck compared to shotguns in every other category.

If pistol is a must get a full size pistol with a rail so you can add a light and or laser. Look at the Glock/Springfield XD/ and the Smith And Wesson M&P line. Buy the one that fits best in your hand.

I love my G 22. Very good natural point of aim IMO.

I have the same pistol with some CT laser hand grips. SW model 10 from Bud's. Not pretty but reliable and effective.

Saiga, remington, mossberg tactical shotgun. Pistol grip, extended magazine. Fill it with slugs and buckshot. Pistols are cool, but if it's strictly for home use, I say get a sawed off shotgun.
