Finally got in a teal hunt today

Killed our 2 man limit easily in the morning. Only problem was first flock of 25-30 came through and we only dropped 2. Great to be back out there though.

Was there a lot of birds? With this cool front coming thru now, I'm thinking that new birds will show up tomorrow right behine the front.

Public or private land? Everyone who I have spoke to that hunts down there hunted private. I'm curious if there are any public spots in that area.

I don't think there is public in Delacroix. I hunt Biloxi marsh, it is public and the only time we ever see people is at the launch in the morning and when we are fishing after we hunt.

It is all private land around us. Quite a few birds out there today. We could have shot a 6 man limit no problems.
My shooting finished off good. Shot two times after first flock and killed three so I finished the day 4/5.

Try there last year. After fighting the fog and day break came, we had a couple birds and then the dam fishermen came. I talking about a good 10 boats dropped anchor within 100' from us. Like WTF? These people seen us hunting but yet still did that crap! It was like when the first boat drop anchor, then everybody else though they were catching fish, but none were cought.

Damn that sucks, we usually run for about 45 minutes in the morning so we are pretty much in the middle of the wma. Occasionally we camp out there,we will for opening weekend this year.
