Lafayette shooters
I agree with the concept -but Lafayette Looters is even higher than Jim's, with a much smaller selection/inventory.

I'm sure it's a profitable store, which is the purpose of being in business. But they'll have to achieve that goal with someone else's money.

Their gun prices have come down a lot in the last 10 years with the added competition.

Academy is basically walmart so I avoid it

I shop local a lot. But to those local vendors that were taking advantage of being the only show in town, I don't feel a sense to take care of them now.

There are a lot of smaller vendors that were fair and competitive before the bigger players came into the market, but not all were so local friendly themselves.

We have a store in town that was arse raping people on party gear, Party City comes to town, now we have ads of price matching and shopping local. I refuse to do their work for them and go to see how much a plate is at the national chain so you can give me the same price after I drive over to your store.

Dicks in Shreveport NEVER looks like that. As well as Academy, Walmarks, or BassPro.

Guess we have too many hoarders.

To the OP, Dicks is incredibly overpriced. Academy FTW.
